Most people in Dublin have noticed a large archway, visible at all tides, opening out into the River Liffey, almost opposite Swift’s-row. The outlet of the Poddle River, which flows under Crampton-court, Dame street Exchange court, the Castle, Ship-street, and many other places, until the Castle is reached.
